POR-15 Tie-Coat Primer..
Description and Usage :
For years POR-15
customers have been asking for a primer that they could paint right over cured
POR-15 .. Their chemist tackled the problem by developing a unique high-build
polyurethane primer with tremendous interlocking adhesion qualities.. Now you
can easily paint right over the top of POR-15 with any type or color of paint
that you choose , without the need to rough up or de-gloss the surface ..
However, Tie-Coat Primer is a very superior primer for any type of paint ..
It's a tough yet sandable
single-component primer containing over 60% solids, which is more than double
the amount in conventional primers .. This provides superior leveling
characteristics , to help overcome surface irregularities ..Tie-Coat Primer is
highly resistant to penetrating topcoats , like lacquers , enamels , and
two-component finishes .. It's compatible with all paint systems and bake ovens
.. Sands very smoothly too .. Try some on your next project !

is the perfect solution for painting over the top of " cured " POR-15 .. This
terrific , high-tech coating will gently etch tough and glossy POR-15 , making
it the perfect surface for bonding with the paint of your choice .. Now you can
use POR-15 for the ultimate protective coating .. while also top-coating with
any color or choice of paint ..
POR-15 Self-Etching
Primer is engineered specifically as a bonding coat for POR-15 .. It is not a
high-build primer .. as is our POR-15 Tie Coat Primer listed above, which you
should use for your primer/filler applications ..

Note ! Very old cured POR-15 finishes may still require light sanding with some course sandpaper ..
